The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join the team. In this role, you will work closely with a child who requires additional support to access the curriculum, develop social skills, and build confidence in their abilities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Providing tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN, adapting learning materials and strategies to meet their individual needs.
Supporting the pupil's participation in classroom activities, promoting engagement and independence.
Collaborating with the class teacher, SENCO, and other staff to implement and monitor the child's Individual Education Plan (IEP).
Building a strong, positive relationship with the pupil to foster trust and encouragement.
Assisting with personal care tasks if required.

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience working with children, particularly those with SEN (experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential).
Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
Be adaptable and creative in finding ways to engage and support the child's learning and development.
Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Have a willingness to learn and undertake training as needed.
