Our client, a reputable consultancy operating within the highways and transportation sector, is seeking an experienced NEC 4 Supervisor to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working with complex highways and transportation schemes, ensuring timely and budget-aligned delivery from construction through to handover.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with the NEC4 Project Manager and Client Project Manager to foster a collaborative project environment
Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards during all construction activities
Coordinate with a variety of stakeholders including contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and the project management team
Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
Attend and contribute to site meetings, providing updates on site activities and progress
Maintain accurate records of site activities, such as daily logs, inspection reports, and safety records
Prepare and submit regular progress reports
Ensure all site activities comply with contractual terms and conditions
Assist in managing change orders, compensation events, and other contractual issues
Supervise contractors on site and verify valuations for completed works

Job Requirements:

Experience and knowledge of NEC and highway projects
Experience of working on local authority schemes
Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at various levels, including the public
Experience working on highways and transportation infrastructure projects, including walk/cycle schemes
Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously, handling construction values ranging from £100k to £5m
