This is a prestigious CA firm based in Edinburgh city centre who is looking for audit associates to join their team. The firm is a forward-thinking, people-oriented firm where staff are given a high degree of autonomy. They offer a wide range of services, including audit and accounting, tax advice, business support, and personal financial planning. The firm has a long history, and it has built a strong reputation for providing high-quality, personalised services to clients across various sectors. Their expertise covers areas such as corporate finance, VAT, payroll, and more, making them a comprehensive resource for both businesses and individuals.

Your new role

External audit of accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
Liaison and communication with colleagues, managers and partners.
Coaching more junior staff and assisting with in-house training sessions.
Developing and maintaining client contact and relationships.
Ensure that work is completed within the required timescales and to the agreed budget.
Undertake ad-hoc work as directed by the management team.
What you'll need to succeed

Recent experience in public practice.
Recent external audit experience.
Part-qualified or newly qualified CA or ACCA.
Good communication skills are required.
Willingness to take responsibility and suggest solutions to problems encountered.
Proven success as a team player.
Demonstrable ability to work to budgets and deadlines.
IT literate - Microsoft Office, CCH Audit Automation, SAGE, Xero.
