Key Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including risk assessments and evaluation of the patient's physical and mental well-being. Identify patients' needs, including therapeutic, emotional, and physical care requirements.

Care Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement individualized care plans based on the assessments, ensuring the inclusion of evidence-based interventions. Provide psychiatric nursing interventions such as medication management, emotional support, and therapeutic activities to promote recovery.
*
Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications to patients and monitor for any side effects or adverse reactions. Educate patients and their families about prescribed medications and the importance of adherence to the treatment plan.
*
Crisis Intervention and Risk Management: Provide timely intervention in crisis situations, de-escalating aggressive or challenging behaviors and ensuring patient safety. Implement and monitor risk management plans and safeguard patients' well-being.
*
Therapeutic Communication: Build therapeutic relationships with patients, providing emotional support and promoting a positive and supportive environment. Encourage patients' involvement in their own care, empowering them to actively participate in their recovery process.
*
Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the healthcare team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists, to develop and deliver holistic care plans. Participate in regular multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to care discussions.

Patient Advocacy: Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring that their rights and wishes are respected in accordance with ethical and legal guidelines. Help patients access services and support outside the mental health setting as required
