Bookkeeper

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a busy school. This is a part- time temporary role, and would be ideal for someone looking for a second job, or to fit around their busy life schedule. There is flexibility as to how the hours are spread throughout the week (10-12 hours a week).

The duties of Bookkeeper will include:

* Sales invoices – Liaise with other staff on the generation and distribution of sales invoices via the school management information system which links into Sage

* Sales ledger management – entries and account set-up and updates

* Credit control – ensure regular emailing of statements and flagging up accounts for further action

* Purchase order – manage the purchase ordering system

* Purchase ledger management – entries and account set-up and updates

* Purchase ledger payment runs

* Cash book entries and bank reconciliation

* Tracking and reconciling company credit card spend and petty cash

Skills required:

* Demonstrable experience of bookkeeping in previous roles

* Prior experience of Sage accounting software

* Competent in Microsoft Excel and Word

* Must be able to manage and prioritise workload efficiently and effectively

The role is available immediately, there is free on-site parking available, and lunch included also from the school canteen.

The role offers £15-£18 depending on experience.
