Job Description Job DescriptionThe Quality Shift inspector is responsible for monitoring and recording daily quality inspections, and ensures all products meet the requirements and standards agreed with our customers on a day-to-day basis.Duties•Responsible for visually checking the quality of product against the customer specification on an hourly basis.•Approve first off checks and samples for each machine.•To take regular samples throughout the shift ensuring all samples are labelled correctly with all required information.•Raw material inspection and testing•Weekly GMP audit as per schedule and check if corrective actions have been completed•Carry out QA training of new packing operators when and ensure any change in QA policies or procedures are trained out to all relevant employees.•Inspect and verify packing format against specification/colour cards, labels and paperwork are correct.•Check extruded sheet is correct specification, colour and labelled correctly.•Ensure colour cards are compiled, reviewed, and correspond with product.•Participate and oversee the sorting of any finished goods returned or put on hold (external and internal.
)•Assist with any NCR investigation where required.•Carry out daily calibration of production scales.•Compile and issue job packs and ensure completed job packs have been completed correctly and any corrective actions are carried out- all departments.•Ensure metal detector checks are being carried out correctly; any issues to be reported to Shift Supervisor & Senior Quality Technician.•Stop production line if major non-compliance of specifications, standards or quality is found during the inspection process.•Complete all required paperwork in line with internal procedures and maintain inspection journals and daily summary logs.•Make sure that the QA hold area is under control all stocks include a hold label with information.•Police and ensure 'clean as you go' and hygiene policy are carried out by all entering production hall.•Ensure comprehensive handover and cover of holidays/absence is shared throughout the team.Benefits•A contributory Pension Scheme once you have been employed for three months•1 x Life Assurance and a Health Cash Plan Scheme which covers dental, optical, mental health and well-being after 6 months employment.•On-site parkingAdditional InformationLocation: SedgefieldHours of work:•Alternating 07:00-19:00 and 19:00-07:00 on a 3 on 3 off 12-hour shift patternRates of pay:•£ per hour•Overtime is paid at rateThis vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Gem Partnership Ltd who are trading as a recruitment business.To stay safe in your job search we recommend that you visit JobsAware, a non-profit, joint industry and law enforcement organisation working to combat job scams.
