Location: Sedgefield
Salary: £12.36 per hour (£26,994 annually) with overtime paid at 1.25x rate

Working Hours:
* Alternating shifts: 07:00–19:00 and 19:00–07:00
* 3 days on, 3 days off, 12-hour shifts
* 24 days of holiday inclusive of bank holidays
Job Description:
As a Quality Shift Inspector, you will ensure all products meet customer specifications and industry standards. You will carry out routine inspections and testing, ensuring quality and compliance while promoting a safe, efficient workplace. Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct hourly visual checks of products against customer specifications.
* Approve initial checks and samples for machinery.
* Perform raw material inspections and weekly GMP audits, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
* Train new packing operators and ensure updated QA policies are communicated effectively.
* Monitor extruded sheets and packaging formats, ensuring alignment with specifications.
* Manage QA hold areas and stock labelling.
* Support NCR investigations and participate in sorting returned or on-hold goods.
* Perform daily calibrations of production scales.
* Oversee clean-as-you-go and hygiene policies.
* Ensure accurate completion of job packs and inspection paperwork.
* Conduct metal detector checks and escalate issues promptly.
Skills and experience required:
* Previous experience in a quality control or inspection role, ideally in manufacturing.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Solid communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
* Proficiency in completing and maintaining records and inspection logs.
