Operations Analyst

Job Description As an Operations Analyst you'll undertake a key operational support role, with a focus on service level improvements, internal and external. You will analyse operational status, by collecting, monitoring and providing insights through reporting and modelling. You will also be responsible for undertaking and supporting projects within the warehousing and transport departments.
What will you be doing?
Researching, collating, analysing and presenting data gathered from a large variety of sources in a wide range of formats Recognising trends to offer recommendations across a broad spectrum of disciplines at department, operational management and board level Producing timely and accurate reports on an ad-hoc basis for the operational support team, as well as other business functions, including areas such as transport, HR and the warehouse Undertaking and supporting specified projects within the operations team as and when required Interacting with management, warehouse teams; to prepare for upcoming activity Volume and labour forecast, tracking and analysis Capturing of daily KPIs and pulling together a monthly KPI pack Maintain a look-forward approach to identifying risks and opportunity Provide analytical support on any projects Create, manage and develop a suite of reports Streamlining and implementing processes where necessary Contributing innovative analytical solutions Working alongside finance and providing analysis to support weekly P&Ls, budgeting and forecasting processes Qualifications Demonstrable practical knowledge of logistics and some familiarity with the operational aspects of the supply chain Have an understanding of project management principles and methodologies, coupled with a basic understanding of management accounting Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills, coupled with a strong level of IP/PC literacy, notably in the use of PowerPoint and Excel applications A proven ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines, along with a team orientated outlook and a results driven approach Ability to quickly adapt and learn additional skillsets to integrate new and functional solutions Good communication, and attention to detail.
