HGV Technician Location: Vacanciesthroughout the Glasgow Area Competitive Salary We have an exciting new opportunity based in the Glasgow area, payingan attractive salarywith a variety of shifts available including days, split shifts and nights.
This opportunity also has great scope to progress through our leadership programme, moving up to supervisory/off the tools roles in time.
Job Overview Our client is an industry leader in their field and we are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair ofHeavyGoodsVehicles & Light Commercial Vehicles, ensuring they are safe and operational.
This role requires a strong mechanical background, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics on HGVs to identify issues.
Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components.
Assemble and fabricate parts as necessary to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair.
Ability to lift heavy loads as required during repairs (heavy lifting).
Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
Ability to assemble components accurately and efficiently.
Knowledge of electrical systems relevant to HGVs is advantageous.
