Job description Prospero Teaching are recruiting a PE Teacher for an inspiring Independent SEN School located in Burnley dedicated to supporting pupils with a focus on a specialised approach to education.
Based in Poole the school is committed to promoting health and wellbeing through physical and outdoor education, tailored to meet the unique needs of its students.
This is a supportive and inclusive environment where staff are empowered to develop professionally and make a meaningful impact.
The role involves working predominantly with key stages 3 and 4, with a focus on delivering a creative and adaptive PE curriculum that fosters the development of physical skills, confidence, and social interaction.
The position is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers.
Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.
CONTRACT DETAILS: Location: Lancashire, Burnley Position: PE Teacher Type of work: PE, SEN Contract or position start date: January 2025 Duration / Likely Duration: Temporary/Permanent Contract type: Temporary/Permanent Full time/part time: Full time Minimum rate of pay Minimum rate: From £163.00 per day Hours (Apply online only), plus parents evenings and meetings as required EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS: QTS, QTLS or equivalent Minimum 1 Year PE Teacher Experience with SEN (desirable) Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related references OTHER If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
