Management Accountant

Gutology is seeking an ambitious Management Accountant.
As a fast growing D2C brand - this is an ideal opportunity for a finance professional looking to make a significant impact while working flexibly with a growing company.
The right person will get the opportunity to fast track to an FD position, supported by a knowledgable team and mentored by senior finance individual when needed.
Who are we looking for?
You'll have a hands on, sleeve's up attitude and want to be involved in all areas of finances in the business to start.
You have dreams of being a CFO and have a drive to understand the complexities of a fast growing business.
Responsibilities Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies to help our business achieve goals, manage growth, and improve profitability.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the company's cash flow, make recommendations for working capital, and improve cash flow forecasting.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in creating budgets, forecasting future financial performance, and helping management make informed decisions.
* Raising Capital: Help the business raise funding through loans, investment, or equity, and manage relationships with banks, investors, and stakeholders.
Qualifications ACA, ACCA, or CIMA-qualified accountant (or nearing final exams if experience is extensive).
This ensures a solid foundation in accounting principles, ethics, and financial reporting.
A degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related field would be advantageous, although not strictly necessary if they have strong professional credentials and experience.
Proven experience in management accounting, ideally within an e-commerce or fast-growing business.
Solid expertise in financial reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Experience in cash flow management and working capital optimisation is essential.
The candidate should be comfortable with cash flow forecasting, identifying potential cash gaps, and making recommendations to improve working capital.
Knowledge of e-commerce financial models (would be ideal), specifically reconciling both Shopify and Amazon.
We run a hybrid office, so you'll be required to spend time with the team a few days per week and we're open to flexible hours to suit your personal/family requirements.
The key for us is an ambition to grow into a finance director role, with a proactive approach to learning and taking on new challenges.
