The Role: Account Executive (New Business) As an Account Executive, you will focus on winning new business, acquiring new logos, and driving revenue growth in the UK market.
This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with enterprise B2B SaaS experience , particularly in industries such as telecommunications, power, and utilities , who thrives on meeting and exceeding ambitious targets.
Key Responsibilities New Business Development: Identify, target, and secure new customers, effectively articulating the value of the company's solutions.
Sales Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed annual revenue targets of £750k–£1M+.
Industry Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of the telecom, power, and utilities sectors to identify opportunities and position solutions as transformative tools for these industries.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including operations and IT leaders and C-suite executives.
Solution Selling: Work closely with internal teams to tailor offerings that meet client needs and ensure long-term success.
Sales Methodologies: Utilize advanced sales frameworks such as MEDDICC, SPIN Selling, or Miller Heiman to drive deal qualification and closure.
Market Insights: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic planning.
Reporting: Accurately manage pipeline and forecast sales performance using CRM tools, ensuring accountability and transparency.
Key Qualifications Experience: 5–10 years of proven success in enterprise B2B SaaS sales , with a focus on securing new business and achieving annual revenue targets (£750k–£1M minimum).
Industry Expertise: Demonstrated experience in selling SaaS solutions to telecom, power, and utilities companies or their suppliers , with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities within these sectors.
Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to establish trust and influence senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
Sales Expertise: Proficiency in sales methodologies such as MEDDICC, SPIN, or Miller Heiman, with the ability to adapt these frameworks to drive success.
Relationship Building: Exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships, leveraging them to achieve desired outcomes.
Results-Oriented: Consistent track record of exceeding sales targets and delivering exceptional results.
Self-Starter: Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach to collaboration and execution.
Collaboration: Strong team player capable of working across functions to deliver superior customer experiences.
Package Base Salary: £75k–£110k, depending on experience and seniority.
On-Target Earnings (OTE): 50/50 base and commission split, uncapped, with ratchet incentives above 100%.
