Our client is a world leader in manufacturing. Their products are largely custom designed and are distributed widely throughout the world.
They are now seeking an experienced and driven Store Manager to join their very busy team at the heart of Guildford, Surrey. You will be managing and leading a team of warehouse operatives, making sure the all the staff are trained, motivated and working effectively.
Store Manager, the role:
Overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse (inc. receiving, storing, and dispatching goods) Operating warehouse equipment such as forklift, gantry crane and pump trucks Assisting with loading and unloading vehicles Managing stock levels on a regular basis, ensuring any discrepancies are dealt with and communicated in a timely manner Planning the orders for delivery and pickup to meet customer schedules Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient workflow throughout the supply chain Ensuring that housekeeping and Health and Safety standards in the warehouse are maintained at all times Any other duties as and if required Store Manager, the person:
Previous experience in a warehouse management or supervisory role, preferably within the manufacturing industry Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, with a keen eye for detail Solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and health and safety regulations Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Strong communication skills, both written and verbal PC literate with a working knowledge of MRP systems Store Manager, the benefits:
