We have an immediate requirement for an Trainee CNC Machine Setter/Operator with a strong background in component / Mechanical manufacturing.
If you are or have been working in a component engineering business and now seeking a opportunity to further develop your skills and experience to become a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator this is for you.
Duties will include * Setting up and ensuring relevant program is ready to run on either a CNC lathe or VMC * You will be operating both mills and lathe * Running machines concurrently * Ensure components are produced to specified tolerances from technical drawings * Inspect components using various measuring equipment such as verniers, thread gauges, callipers, micrometres etc.
* Debur components across a range of materials * Report any anomalies to the Machine Shop Manager * Work with Quality Inspection Department during component manufacture.
* Maintain a clean and tidy environment and maintained company standards * Carry out weekly clean of your assigned CNC machines.

An engineering qualification.
Fanuc or Mazatrol controls knowledge would be beneficial.
* HNC/HND/NVQ in mechanical engineering * Setting and Operating Milling and Turing Machines * Fanuc and Mazatrol controls * Read engineering drawings * Knowledge of Verniers, thread gauges, callipers, micrometres etc.
