CNC/Manual Grinder Job Description

At Omega Resource Group, we are seeking a skilled CNC/Manual Grinder to join our team in the aerospace industry. This role requires an apprentice-trained individual with experience in operating and setting Manual Studer machines (S20/RM250) and CNC machines (Studer S33/S31).

Main Responsibilities:
• Operate and set up multiple machines, including Manual Studer machines (S20/RM250) and CNC machines (Studer S33/S31)
• Grind and machine exotic and hardened materials with precision
• Perform first-off inspections and complete relevant quality documentation
• Carry out manual land grinding to extremely tight tolerances, with accuracy down to +/- 0.01mm
• Set up and run processes, ensuring efficient and precise production
• Work within a 3-shift pattern, with a preference for night shift working

Key Qualifications & Requirements:
• Recognised engineering apprenticeship
• Mate grinding experience required
• Previous experience within an engineering/manufacturing role within the aerospace industry
• Good knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling
• Attention to detail and accuracy and process improvement

This role is ideal for individuals who are currently a CNC Machinist, Grinding Technician, CNC Lathe Operator, or CNC Mill/Turn Operator.
