Main duties of the job We are looking for an experienced nurse or AHP with an interest in Cardiology and ambitions of training as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP).
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join an established team of Acute Coronary Syndrome / Cardiology ACPs; to work collaboratively with the multi professional team in providing advanced practice within local and nationally agreed protocols and guidelines, gaining experience, clinical knowledge, and leadership skills needed to become an advanced clinical practitioner.You will embark on the MSc academia in advanced practice and will need to build evidence to support your core capabilities (4 pillars of advanced practice).
You will be supported through your academic and clinical capabilities from the ACP leadership team with the aim to practise independently - to assess, investigate, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the clinical care and management of patients with acute cardiology presentations.
The trainee advanced clinical practitioner will have key relationships with all members of the nursing, medical and multidisciplinary team, as well as the leadership team.

Job description Job responsibilities The post holder will join the Cardiology ACP team as a trainee ACP, to work a 7-day service 07:30hrs 20:30hrs working alongside our medical colleagues for inpatients through their hospital stay.
This includes patients in our coronary care unit and in the ward areas.
The post holder will require flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays as the service requires.

As a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (tACP) you are expected to work in conjunction with the 4 pillars of Advanced Practice as outlined in the HEE Multi-professional Framework (2017) *Clinical practice*Leadership and Management *Education*Research This is a training post in which the practitioner will deliver, under the supervision of an Advanced Clinical Practitioner or Designated Medical Practitioner (DMP) an advanced level of clinical practice within the speciality area.
The trainee ACP will develop the knowledge and skill required to provide expert clinical management and care to patients within the speciality area.
The trainee ACP will complete a clinical portfolio, providing evidence of the HEE capabilities for advanced clinical practice and speciality specific competencies in practice whilst working towards a recognised MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.
To be successful in your application, you will need to show evidence of clinical experience, ideally with acute care or Cardiology background, showcasing your ongoing learning and CPD.
