Job summary To support the Healthy Family Team in delivering universal health services to the 0-19 year population, alongside managing incoming and outgoing information via the telephone system and utilising SystmOne for recording information, whilst supporting a skill mix team.
Main duties of the job An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic Public Health Practitioner, to join our Advice Line Team within the Integrated Healthy Families Team within the Ashfield Locality.
This will be delivered in line with the National and Local guidelines and public health priorities.You will work as part of the Healthy Family Team in delivering universal health services to the 0-19 year population and will take responsibility for the daily information flow via the telephone, including CHAT Health, PARENTLINE and RECAP within the Advice Line Team.You will have responsibility for the smooth transition of information from families and others to the District Healthy Family Teams.You will be responsible for delivery of Managerial supervision for Band 4 practitioners in Advice Line Team.The team will be working proactively using a partnership approach to promote health and contribute to tackling health inequalities within the level of competencies required for the post.A key aspect of the role is to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service as required.This post requires an experienced practitioner with sound communication and supervision skills.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Registered RNC Nurse or Band 4 experienced or Senior Assistant Public Health Practitioner.
Knowledge of public health and health improvement Other experience pertinent to 0-19 Family Health Team Desirable Evidence of further professional development Previous experience Essential Experience of working directly with families and young people Knowledge of the safeguarding children's agenda Experience of working in multi-disciplinary team.
Experience of dealing with various customer care situations.
Desirable Experience of dealing with challenging telephone calls with families, agencies and colleagues.
Experience of supporting individual practitioners or colleagues in a professional capacity.
Experience of delivering supervision.
