Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer to join our team in Chester, UK.
The ideal candidate will bring over a decade of professional experience in Java development, with a deep understanding of Spring Framework , and Microservices architecture .
The role demands expertise in designing and building high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions for banking systems.
Required Qualifications and Skills: Proficient in Java (J2SE, J2EE) and related technologies.
Extensive experience with Spring Boot , Spring Cloud , and other Spring modules .
Proven expertise in microservices architecture , including service discovery, API gateway, and inter-service communication.
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases , with experience in designing and optimizing queries.
Strong experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs .
Knowledge of Angular or similar front-end frameworks is a plus.
Banking Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of banking systems, financial transactions, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust, scalable, and secure Java-based solutions.
Drive the implementation of microservices architecture leveraging Spring Boot , Spring Cloud , and associated technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements.
Ensure the quality of code through adherence to coding standards, testing practices, and effective error handling.
Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, recommending innovative solutions to business challenges.
Work in a hybrid model, contributing both onsite and remotely as required.
