Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer to join our team in Chester, UK. The ideal candidate will bring over a decade of professional experience in Java development, with a deep understanding of Spring Framework , and Microservices architecture . The role demands expertise in designing and building high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions for banking systems.


Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficient in Java (J2SE, J2EE) and related technologies.
  • Extensive experience with Spring Boot , Spring Cloud , and other Spring modules .
  • Proven expertise in microservices architecture , including service discovery, API gateway, and inter-service communication.
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases , with experience in designing and optimizing queries.
  • Strong experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs .
  • Knowledge of Angular or similar front-end frameworks is a plus.


Banking Domain Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of banking systems, financial transactions, and regulatory compliance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust, scalable, and secure Java-based solutions.
  • Drive the implementation of microservices architecture leveraging Spring Boot , Spring Cloud , and associated technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements.
  • Ensure the quality of code through adherence to coding standards, testing practices, and effective error handling.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, recommending innovative solutions to business challenges.
  • Work in a hybrid model, contributing both onsite and remotely as required.
