Job summary We Are With You`s Bournemouth service provides free and confidential support to people who need support with alcohol and substance use.
Main duties of the job You will have your own caseload, working both one your own and as part of our team alongside other social care services as well as assertively out reaching hard to engage clients.
You will develop recovery plans with your clients to help them get their lives back to where they want them to be.
We are determined and always professional in our approach to each and every case and we never judge, we're just here to help.
There will be assessments to carry out and records you need to keep and update, that's all part of our professional commitment and service to our clients and commissioners.

We are a dynamic, supportive and caring service for people in the BCP area.
We provide a wide range of services aimed at reducing harm and building recovery with a focus upon empowering people to be the best that they can be.
Responsibilities include conducting assessments, managing a caseload, care planning, risk management and supporting clients to achieve their personalised goals.
We deliver harm minimisation interventions within our needle exchange and deliver psychosocial interventions within our workshops carrying out preparation and aftercare planning to support referrals towards detoxifications programmes and residential evenings and weekend work may be required as part of a rota.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential A driving license and access to a vehicle NVQ in Health and Social care or willingness to work towards this Should you be successful in your application, you will be required to provide 3 years' worth of references and where applicable, will need to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
Experience Essential Demonstrable experience of working in the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting Successful track record of working with substance misuse service users Ability to build effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders Ability to work effectively as a team player Resilient, with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure Good written and oral communication skills IT skills Organised and excellent time management skills Knowledge and understanding of: Group working; Assessment, care planning and key working; Issues affecting substance misusers; Rehabilitation; Solution focused brief therapy and/or motivational interviewing A full job description is available upon request.
