Assistant Financial Controller

Inclusive Consulting is excited to partner with an industry-leading business, recruiting for a newly created Assistant Financial Controller position based in central Chesterfield.
This pivotal role involves working closely with the Financial Controller, taking a leading role in developing the finance function including reporting accuracy, process efficiency, and strategic decision-making.
Role Responsibilities Oversee the Finance function to ensure timely and accurate reporting, including ownership of the month-end management accounts process.
Assist with year-end audit, statutory accounts preparation, and tax submissions.
Recommend and implement process improvements in Finance, supporting with system implementations and financial consolidation.
Collaborate with other departments for effective budget management.
Assist with month and quarter-end reporting for the overseas parent company.
Liaise with senior leadership to ensure accurate reporting information.
Person Specification Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Proactive, with the ability to analyse information and suggest improvements.
Possess a positive and solutions-oriented approach to challenges.
Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
Proficient in IT, especially Excel and other Microsoft packages.
Knowledgeable in IFRS, statutory reporting, and tax requirements.
Detail-oriented with a focus on high accuracy.
What's On Offer This permanent position offers a starting salary of up to £50,000 plus company car, office-based in central Chesterfield, with excellent transport links and parking.
