Job summary We are looking for a healthcare assistant to join our Gissing Ward team.
Gissing Ward is a surgical ward specialising in Head and Neck Surgery.
We are a friendly and welcoming team which is committed to ensuring we provide the highest standard of care to patients on the ward while continually striving for improvement.
This is an amazing opportunity for existing HCAs to gain experience in a new specialty, or for individuals who are new to care/ the acute setting and are passionate about starting their career in the NHS.

Main duties of the job Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, work with all members of the multi-disciplinary team, to contribute to the provision of the highest standards of patient care delivered with dignity, respect and compassion.To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH's 'PRIDE' values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence and demonstrate behaviours that support and encourage an inclusive culture.

To assist in the preparation of patients and equipment for treatment, investigations or procedures as directed by the Registered Nurse.To keep the clinical area clean and tidy maintaining a safe environment.
