The complexity of the initiative, within a FTSE 250 business, will allow for large-scale problem solving, group wide impact assessment and supporting the delivery of an enablement project to future proof the business.
As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring Greencore's IT infrastructure is aligned to business requirements through the proper architecture of all aspects of IT Infrastructure.
Ensuring the ongoing environments across networking, hosting & cloud are delivered against Greencore standards and policies and in-line with industry best practises.
Contributing to the creation, evolution and governance of standards and policies where required.
What you'll be doing: Develop and maintain the IT infrastructure architecture blueprint in conjunction with other stakeholders Design and maintain a scalable, secure, and efficient IT infrastructure that aligns with business needs and considers upcoming business activities and the impact they may have on infrastructure Contribute to the broader overall Enterprise Architecture picture in terms of maintaining infrastructure elements of technical reference models that support Greencore's identified capability maps & models as the landscape changes Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to ensure the infrastructure remains current and competitive Lead the selection and implementation of new technologies, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions Oversee the design of complex IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, networks, data centres, and cloud services Provide technical guidance and oversight during the implementation of infrastructure projects Ensure that infrastructure solutions meet the organisation's requirements for performance, security, and scalability Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements for IT infrastructure Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance processes Implement and enforce policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the IT infrastructure Facilitate workshops and meetings to drive architectural decisions or gather inputs to enable those decisions Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to ensure alignment and support for infrastructure initiatives What you'll need: Understanding of network design, protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and security measures Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) and services, including deployment and management Knowledge of virtualization tools (VMware, Hyper-V) and their applications in infrastructure design Proficiency in various operating systems (Windows, Linux) and their configurations Awareness of cybersecurity principles, compliance standards (ISO, GDPR), and risk management Proven track record of leading or contributing to infrastructure projects, from conception to implementation Experience working with third-party vendors and service providers to integrate solutions Engagement in ongoing education and certifications to stay current with technology trends Excellent interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams, including security, operations, and management Strong communicator, able to articulate both strategic and operational aspects of IT to technical and non-technical people What you'll get in return: Competitive salary and job-related benefits Holidays Car Allowance Annual Target Bonus PSP Target Bonus Pension up to 8% matched Life insurance up to 4x salary PMI Cover Company share save scheme Greencore Qualifications Exclusive Greencore employee discount platform Access to a full Wellbeing Centre platform Throughout your time at Greencore, you will be supported with on the job training and development opportunities to further your career.
