Job Title: Principal Software Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead our development team in Chesterfield, United Kingdom. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining complex software solutions while mentoring junior developers and ensuring code quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-performance software applications.
  • Make technical decisions and conduct code reviews.
  • Mentor junior software engineers in best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.
  • Write and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues as they arise.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in software development, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure). A competitive salary of £90,000 - £110,000 per annum is offered, along with benefits including pension scheme, private healthcare, and life insurance.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • Strong proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
