Job summary The Data Collection and Improvement (DCI) team deliver a support service to care providers with the aim to help them collect and improve the data they submit to NHS team has 4 sections:o Data Collection - Managing a large number of collections from several hundred providers and delivering submissions support across a range of data collection systemso Data Coverage - Monitoring and supporting increased coverage across mandatory data collectionso Data Improvement - Developing trusted relationships with providers to support improvements in the data submittedo Management Information - Sourcing, extracting and analysing data about collections to help DCI and other services evidence and maximise their impact.
Main duties of the job As a Data Operations Management Officer, you will play a key role within an allocated section.
Duties specific to this role include:o Supporting the management and delivery of provider-focussed services for allocated collections, systems or data improvement projectso Undertaking all aspects of line management and training for allocated data operations administratorso Building trusted relationships with providers and supporting them to improve the data submitted across a range of data collections and systemso Facilitating national/regional engagement with providers, such as central communications, user groups and webinarso Collating and analysing feedback from providers to identify opportunities to improve the data collected and our collection processes.

Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.

To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher.

Person Specification Knowledge Essential Knowledge of NHS information systems and data flows Experience Essential Experience of responding to and providing guidance on internal and external technical queries, acting as a point of escalation, to ensure compliance to service level agreement Experience of collating and examining complex information to create high quality reports, using sound analysis and judgement to diagnose problems/risks and make effective decisions to resolve any issues Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary organisation/team, liaising with key stakeholders to ensure effective cross-functional collaboration.
Skills Essential Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to understand their requirements and needs, providing effective consultancy, direction and advice to ensure the delivery of timely and accurate information Ability to present complex and/or technical information clearly and concisely, adapting communication style to meet the needs of a variety of audiences Qualifications Essential Postgraduate level, or equivalent experience delivering operational services to customers
