Job summary HCA will work collaboratively with the practices within Malvern Town PCN.Working under the supervision and closely with the clinical team and strictly inaccordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the healthcareassistant will assist the practice clinical team in the provision of patientcare in the community and within Malvern care homes.
Main duties of the job PhlebotomyInfluenza and B12 injectionsChaperoning dutiesProcessing and management of laboratory samplesrequested by GPs/nurses.Sterilising,cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment.Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotationPreparing and maintaining environments and equipmentbefore, during and after patient careinterventionsAssisting in the assessment and surveillanceof patients health and well-beingUndertaking specific clinicalactivities for named patients that havebeen delegated and taught specifically in relation tothat individualHelping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted.Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs relatedto health and well-being.Carry out INR monitoring.Carry out ECGs for patients as per GP and Nurse instructions.24 hours and home BP set-up.Wound check & suture removalDiabetic footchecksNHS Health checks About us SW Healthcare is a fast-growing providerof community-based healthcare services to NHS patients within South Worcestershire.The organisation utilises the excellent clinical expertise that already resideswithin the local NHS environment and harnesses it with efficient administrationpathways to provide patients with more convenient and accessible services.
