Commissioning and Test Engineer - Industrial Systems and Engineering West Midlands - Permanent - Attractive A Commissioning and Test Engineer is required to join an International Industrial Systems and Engineering company that Designs, Manufactures, Assembles, Tests, and Commissions Industrial Systems.
The successful Commissioning and Test Engineer will be reporting to the Commissioning Unit Manager/Head.
The Commissioning and Test Engineer role can be varied and you will manage a range of Commissioning activities over the full life-cycle of bespoke Engineering projects and represent the commissioning function to customers and other departments within the organisation.
The Commissioning and Test Engineer will use solid Engineering knowledge, you will extract the relevant information from specification and design documents to write, develop and follow Project Commissioning strategies on engineered solutions for a safety critical industry and take ownership of your assigned packages of work with pride, delivering for a key player in this key area of engineering.
The Commissioning and Test Engineer will be responsible for the following: Support tendering for new projects by estimating hours required to complete the expected commissioning work and what is included and excluded from that estimate.
Creating project commissioning strategies for new bespoke projects and to review and ensure they are implemented during the life-cycle of the project.
Develop test and commissioning documentation as required.
Assessing if equipment is ready for commissioning, and from commissioning to manufacturing once in-house commissioning work is satisfactorily complete.
Prepare for and complete factory and site acceptance testing, including ensuring risk assessments are created and followed.
Ensure test equipment required is available, fitting any temporary commissioning aids required for testing & completing all testing as per the acceptance testing & site acceptance testing procedures.
Identify faults or non-conformities during testing, reporting issues using business procedures and supporting in the resolution of issues.
Ensuring work is completed within the required time frame and that any deviations from the time frame or project requirements have been communicated with the project manager, always being aware of your allocated budget.
Ensuring that test work is design and carried out in the safest way possible.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
The Commissioning and Test Engineer should have the following Qualifications Skills or Experience: HNC Qualified (or Equivalent) or Higher with Extensive Engineering Workplace experience.
Broad base of experience in the operation of mechanical and or electrical equipment.
Appreciation of relevant Standards such as BS7671 for electrical engineers.
Ability to adapt when situations or equipment changes.
Able to focus on the customer and work with customers and stakeholders (internal and external) in order to meet and exceed their expectations.
Collaborates and Shares Knowledge Seeks to create collective success through teamwork, knowledge and mutual support.
Delivers Results/Focuses on Solution.
Plans what needs to be delivered and then focuses on making it happen within allocated time and budgetary constraints.
Adapts to change and able to respond positively to individual or organisational change.
Acts with Integrity and Professionalism and Demonstrate trust and integrity in their work.
Demonstrate a clear ownership for your assigned packages of work, ensuring that progress is made.
