B23, Erdington Birmingham £675 - £750 PW (Based on 37.5 Hours) About the role Connex Education is recruiting for a Qualified Teacher to support one of our partner schools on a one to one basis with a student who is not able to attend.
The KS3 student has a diagnosis of Autism and complex needs outlined on their EHCP, therefore experience working with students of a similar nature is vital.
Current assessments of this student suggest they are working at a lower level than expected for their age range.
Tuition will be based in the students home for five sessions per week.
The sessions will focus on supporting the student with his educational goals while they are not on roll at a school.
The student can communicate with Makaton or using the communication book and gestural prompts.
The parent will be present in the home during the sessions at all times and will be on hand to support if needed.
As a Home Tutor, it is essential that you have a dynamic teaching style and can identify areas of improvement required when working on a 1:1 basis.
Assignment Details This role will start as soon as possible and will be on an long term basis.    Benefits of working with Connex Education Competitive daily rate.

Person Specification QTS or equivalent.
Strong ability to engage and motivate reluctant learners.
Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Driving license (Preferred).
An enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to apply for a new one.
An outstanding classroom practitioner with high expectations.
