This role requires someone who can balance day-to-day payroll activities with supporting the ongoing implementation of the new system.
Duties: * Process and verify employee payroll accurately and in compliance with UK legislation.
Approx 450 weekly employees, 200 monthly employees and 30 international employees.
* Manage all payroll-related adjustments, including bonuses, overtime, deductions, and statutory payments.
* Collaborate with the implementation team to finalise the migration to the ADP platform, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Conduct parallel runs and assist in testing payroll processes within ADP.
* Identify and escalate implementation issues, working with internal teams and ADP consultants to resolve them.
* Ensure payroll compliance with HMRC regulations and company policies.
* Generate payroll reports for internal stakeholders and external auditing as required.
* Assist in preparing P60s, P45s, and other statutory documents.
* Respond to employee queries related to payroll, benefits, and tax matters.
* Provide training and support to employees on the new ADP system, where required.
* Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improve accuracy.
* Stay updated with industry best practices and legislative changes, ensuring processes remain compliant and efficient.
Requirements: * Proven experience in payroll administration, ideally within a medium-to-large company.
* Familiarity with ADP systems or similar payroll platforms is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of UK payroll regulations, including tax codes, pensions, and statutory payments.
* Excellent numerical skills with high attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
