Job summary West Leeds Family Practice is a long established, proactive,respected and friendly GP training practice, with a growing list size of 20,000patients, located across 3 sites in West Leeds.
An exciting opportunity hasarisen for an experienced and highly motivated practice manager to lead thepractice in continuing to develop and embrace new ways of working and ensurethat opportunities maximise productivity whilst delivering excellent patientcare.The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and takeresponsibility for organisational leadership, service improvement and deliveryof key targets across all clinical and administrative areas within thepractice.Previous management experience, leadership and people skills,competency in office IT and effective communication skills at all levels isessential.This is a supportive and inclusive patient centric GPpractice; working with colleagues in the NHS to provide the best possiblepatient care.

Reporting directly to the GP Partners, thePractice Manager must be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills andexperience; and be proactive and well organised with apassion for delivering high standards in patient or customerservices.
You must be a self-motivated, disciplined individual with theability to take ownership of the day to day running of the practice; workingalongside the GP Partners.

We are a high achieving QOF Practice.We have 20,000 patients and a large team of GP's Nurses HCA and administration.We are a Training Practice for both GP Registrars and Leeds University Medical Students.We have the following in house services for our patients:1.
Family planning service providers for both Implants and Coil devices2.
Minor surgery including joint injections3.
Paramedic home visiting team support4.
Pharmacy Team including PCN Pharmacist support5.
Social Prescribers and Occupational Therapists6.
Physio First service7.
Ultrasound scanning8.
Community Matron support and Frailty Nurse support Job description Job responsibilities Working as a key member of the management team, you will linemanage and develop non-clinical practice staff and be responsible for theproduction of performance and quality standards within the practice, deliveredthrough QOF, Enhanced services and other incentives.Proven senior leadership experience, excellent communicationskills, a high level of IT skills including GP IT, analytical skills andexperience of working at a managerial level within a GP practice are allessential for this post.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Maintaining an oversight of NHSand CQC developments and legislative changes and advising GP Partners on theirimpact on thepractice- Attendpartner meetings, prepare agendas and ensure distribution of minutes to thepartners.
-Toensure all actions from practice meetings are carried out- In conjunction with the Nurse Manager,manage the procurement of practice equipment, medical and non-medicalsupplies and services within budget-Oversee overallmanagement of CQC compliance and records for inspections-Ensureeffective internal and external communications across a range ofmedia-Project managenew and developing service change within the practice and PCN - Keep abreast of changesin employment legislation and ensure practice adherence- Ensurethe practice complies with NHS contractual obligations in relation topatient care - Oversee continuous improvement andquality initiatives within the practice Person Specification Experience Essential Previous GP Practice experience
