Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team based at Hinkley Point C, Somerset

Location: Hinkley Point C, Somerset, Bridgewater 
Business Area: Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks – Major Projects
Contract: Full Time, Permanent


Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be working within the Major Projects team at HPC supporting the commercial functions delivery of a bespoke or part of a package of work on a nuclear licensed site.

Your day to day will include:

Measure works carried out and reconcile to Target Cost.
Prepare monthly and final applications for payment.
Placing and subsequent financial management of sub-contract agreements.
Provide assistance, guidance and support to the operational teams in the areas of: Contract Compliance, The financial impact of decisions; Value maximisation/cost saving techniques; Procurement strategy
Accurately monitor, forecast and report project cost and value.

Experience on NEC contracts with Target Costs
Experience within the construction or civils industry with demonstrable track record of achievement
Demonstrable financial and commercial acumen
Experience of developing & implementing procurement and contract strategies

Due to the nature of this role and the nature of the work at this site, you will be required to complete a Government Security Check (SC) Clearance / Counter Terrorism Check (CTC), which takes place during/before your employment, and is conducted by the Cabinet Offices United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) agency who set out a pre-requisite criteria including residency history.
