This is a permanent, part-time role of 34 hours per week, with a flexible working pattern to meet the needs of staff, patients and the service.

Academy for Healthcare Science of HCPC Registration required.We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced paediatric physiologist to join our small but busy department.
You must be a team player and adaptable to dealing with infants, children and young people of all ages.The successful candidate will need to be proficient in carrying out and analysing/interpreting results from specialised paediatric neurophysiological investigations including Routine EEG, Ambulatory EEG, Home Video Ambulatory, Portable EEGs, MSLTs, and Inpatient Videotelemetry EEG including epilepsy surgery work up patients.
A proportion of our work is carried out in the more challenging environments of the Intensive Care, Neonatal Units and Wards, where we often have EEG recordings running overnight.
Our department mainly focuses on long term EEG and video monitoring.We provide a neurophysiology service to children and young people referred from a range of specialities from 7 Health Boards.
The hospital is National Centre for The Scottish Paediatric Renal Service, The National Child Psychiatry Inpatient Unit and The Scottish Paediatric Cardiac Service.Our small, friendly team consists of one Lead Physiologist, 2.87 WTE Highly Specialised Physiologists and 1 Senior Assistant Physiologist.
In addition we work closely with 8 Paediatric Neurologists and 3 Paediatric Epilepsy Nurse Specialists.
Physiologists are encouraged to continue their own professional development.
We attend regular Neurology Peer Review Meetings, National Paediatric Epilepsy Surgery MDTs and weekly Neurology Teaching sessions.
Candidates should have a minimum of ECNE Board Part1/BSc Hon Clinical Physiology (Neurophysiology) or equivalent and appropriate post graduate experience and AHCS Registration.In addition to clinical workload the post holder will be required to contribute to maintaining quality and standards and participate in any teaching.Details on how to contact the Recruitment Service can be found within the Candidate Information Packs.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.
