Job Advert: Child and Youth Care Worker (Male Candidates Encouraged to Apply) Location: Ayrshire Hours: Flexible shifts between 7:30 am and 9:00 pm, Monday to Saturday Salary: 12.30 Are you ready to inspire the next generation of young men?
We are seeking dedicated male Child and Youth Care Workers to join our outreach and community support team.
Male workers play a vital role in creating positive role models for children and young people, especially boys and young men, as they navigate lifes challenges and opportunities.
About Us We provide tailored support for children and young people aged 526, helping them thrive in line with the GIRFEC (Getting It Right for Every Child) approach and SHANARRI wellbeing indicators.
Our services span recreational activities, educational support, personal care, and life skill development.

Key Responsibilities Build meaningful, supportive relationships with children, young people, and their families.
Deliver a range of activities to promote recreation, education, and personal growth.
Support young people in achieving their goals and targets.
Provide personal care in a way that upholds dignity and respect.
Work in line with the Health and Social Care Standards and the SSSC Codes of Practice .

Willingness to register with the SSSC and maintain compliance with professional standards.
A desire to grow professionally through training and education opportunities.
Requirements Experience in child and youth care (preferred but not essential).
PVG/Disclosure Scotland clearance (or willingness to obtain).
Registration to the Scottish Social Service Council ( or willingness to obtain) Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
