Estate Manager (SCO) Maintenance - East of Scotland Contract: Full Time Salary: £50,000 Shift type: Days Care Concern Group is delighted to bring a senior opportunity to market.
Due to acquisitions and commissioning projects across the Scotland, we are looking to appoint an Estate Manager who will support and advise the wider group in property maintenance, compliance and development.
Location: Home-Based with Travel Across Scotland (Overnight Stays as Required) Reports to: Group Estates Manager Salary: £50,000 per annum Covering: approx 24 care home within Glasgow, Edinburgh & Stirling (with potential for more as the portfollio grows) Qualifications & Experience Professional accreditation preferred (MRICS Building Surveyor or MCIOB) or demonstrable relevant experience and expertise.
Skilled in JCT contract documentation and administration.
Strong understanding of risk management practices related to fire safety, legionella, and asbestos.
Familiarity with commercial Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) system installations.
Experience in the care home sector is a plus.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: Project Management: Lead refurbishment projects up to a value of £2M, including the development of specifications, employer requirements, consultant appointments, contract administration, valuations, and processing payments.
Surveying: Carry out pre-acquisition and dilapidation surveys, along with annual condition surveys of the existing estate.
Maintenance & Defect Management: Respond to major building defects and oversee reactive maintenance, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
Budgeting & Planning: Prepare and manage 5-year planned preventative maintenance budgets for key assets.
Service Contract Management: Manage the tendering, instruction, and supervision of service contracts across the estate.
Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all compliance certifications for the estate are current and meet required standards.
