Job Description A Veterinary Specialist is sought to join the Animal & Plant Health Agency (APHA) Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) team.
Key Responsibilities: Support AMR surveillance and research work ensuring high scientific standards and timely delivery.
Act as a liaison on AMR related matters and contribute to the UK National Reference Laboratory for AMR in the Veterinary Sector.
Deliver and direct AMR surveillance and research activities strategically.

Requirements: Degree in veterinary science or equivalent experience.
Chartered Fellowship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
Advanced postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, preferably involving research or academia.
Postgraduate Diploma/MSc in public health or a related field would be advantageous.
The role requires a veterinary specialist with advanced knowledge of animal disease management, antimicrobial resistance, and public health.
Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.
This is a fixed-term contract until 31 December 2026.
