A core focus of this role will be to identify new business opportunities, build client relationships, and cross-sell our services to existing clients across different areas of the business.
As a senior leader, you will shape and execute our business development strategy, working closely with internal teams to ensure we deliver on our promises and achieve sustained growth.
Key Responsibilities Identifying and Securing New Business: •Research and pinpoint new business opportunities, focusing on emerging markets and untapped potential in the professional services sector.
•Develop tailored engagement strategies to win new clients and create lasting partnerships.
Cross-Selling: •Collaborate with account teams to identify opportunities for cross-selling services to existing clients.
•Present compelling proposals to broaden relationships with current clients and increase their investment in other areas of the business.
•Foster trust and credibility, ensuring clients view us as a holistic recruitment partner.
Strategic Planning: •Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company objectives.
•Analyse market trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
Client Relationship Management: •Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target organisations.
•Understand client challenges and provide tailored recruitment solutions that address their needs.
Collaboration with Internal Teams: •Work closely with recruitment consultants and delivery teams to ensure a seamless approach to business development and service delivery.
Performance and Reporting: •Set and monitor business development KPIs, including new business wins and revenue growth through cross-selling.
•Report progress and outcomes to senior leadership, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
Brand Representation: •Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and conferences to enhance our visibility and reputation.
Key Skills & Experience Proven Business Development Success: •A strong track record in identifying and securing new business opportunities, as well as expanding existing client accounts.
•Experience in the recruitment industry or a related professional services environment is essential.
Client Relationship Management: •Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted, long-term client relationships.
•Demonstrated success in cross-selling or up-selling services to existing clients.
Strategic Thinking: •A commercial mindset, with the ability to develop and execute growth strategies that align with company objectives.
Industry Knowledge: •A solid understanding of the professional services landscape, including recruitment needs and challenges.
Leadership and Teamwork: •Experience managing and motivating teams to achieve ambitious targets.
•A collaborative approach to working with internal stakeholders to deliver on shared goals.
Analytical Skills: •Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to identify trends and use data to drive decision-making.
