We work very closely with each employer and individual learner to ensure that everyone achieves their set goals and are proud to have amongst the best success and retention rates across the counrty.The role and responsibilitiesThe Team Leader is responsible for overseeing a team of trainers, assessors, or support staff delivering high-quality post-education training programs, such as apprenticeships and vocational qualifications.
Alongside managing the team, the role includes a small cohort of learners for whom the Team Leader will provide direct support, ensuring they achieve positive outcomes.
The Team Leader will also be accountable for managing budgets and KPIs, regularly reporting progress and performance to the relevant Directors.Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of trainers within the training company.Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to new members of staff through induction, probation and beyond.Ensure that all trainers that you line manage has received appropriate training and induction in order to effectively carry out all aspects of their role including, but not limited to, onboarding, initial assessment, reviews, invigilation and EPA.Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to ensure team cohesion and effectiveness.Set clear goals and objectives for the team, and monitor progress towards achieving them.Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members in the form of monthly KITs and annual appraisals.
Provide support to trainers with an online MIS System.
Training Delivery: Continue to serve as a trainer to apprentices, delivering high-quality training according to company standards and curriculum.Design, develop, and update training curricula, materials, and resources to ensure relevance and effectiveness.Utilise various teaching methods and techniques to engage learners and facilitate effective learning outcomes.Adapt training approaches as needed to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.Ensure that you are promoting the development of learners English and Maths skills through all delivery.
Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their training needs and expectations.Collaborate with management to develop customised training solutions that meet client requirements.Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns or inquiries related to training services.
Administrative Duties: Oversee administrative tasks related to training delivery, sign-ups, withdrawals and completions, Functional skills, ALN & ASN, 20%, Reviews and all other documentation related to apprenticeships.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to training programs.Coordinate with support staff to ensure smooth logistical arrangements for training sessions.Administration of staff-related information such as holiday requests, sickness, hours, and return to work.
Budget and KPI Management Take responsibility for managing team budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.Monitor and analyse financial and operational performance, reporting regularly to the relevant Directors.Use data and insights to set realistic but challenging KPIs for the team and ensure these are met or exceeded.
Essential QualitiesLeadership Skills: Demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate with team members, clients, and external agencies.Support during visits from EQA, Ofsted or other bodies.
Training Expertise: Extensive experience as a trainer, preferably within the relevant industry or field.In-depth knowledge of training methodologies, techniques, and best practices.Experience designing and delivering training programs tailored to diverse learner needs.
Mentoring and Coaching Abilities: Proven track record of mentoring and coaching new staff members for professional growth and development.Ability to provide constructive feedback and support to facilitate learning and skill development.
Organisational and Administrative Skills: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.Proficiency in administrative tasks such as reporting, data analysis, new learner starts and the MIS system.
Qualifications and Experience Level 5 or bachelor's degree in education, Training, Business Administration, or a related field desirable.Relevant certifications or qualifications in training and development essential.IQA qualification desirable.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a training role, with 1 years of experience in a leadership or management capacity.Experience working with apprentices and new trainers is essential.?All candidates will be required to have an enhanced DBS which is on the update service.
