Main duties of the job Leadershipand Development: Lead the creation and implementation of innovative clinicalmodels tailored to the unique needs of patients.
This involves designing andrefining clinical pathways and ensuring our providers are supported tointegrate identified best practices in service delivery.StrategicOversight: Provide high-level clinical leadership and strategic direction,translating the overarching goals of the South West Provider Collaborative intoactionable plans for service transformation.QualityAssurance: Develop and oversee quality governance frameworks to ensure thedelivery of safe, effective, and high-quality care.
Monitor performance metricsand implement improvements to enhance patient outcomes and service efficiency.StakeholderEngagement: Act as a key representative for the Collaborative, engaging withinternal teams, partner organisations, and national bodies.
Participate inpublic forums, partnership meetings, and consultations to advocate for andadvance child and adolescent mental health services.ClinicalExpertise: Provide expert clinical guidance and support to the Head of Serviceand the broader clinical team.
Ensure that clinical practices are aligned withcurrent research, evidence-based guidelines, and regulatory requirements.Innovationand Improvement: Lead initiatives for continuous improvement, including thedevelopment and implementation of service model and the incorporation offeedback from patients and stakeholders.

Job description Job responsibilities The full Job Description is included with the advert.The Clinical Lead for our Child and Adolescent Mental Health is accountable to the South West Provider Collaborative Deputy Medical Director.The post holder is accountable for:leading the development of a transformational clinical model to address the assessed needs for the population of the south west leading the design and development of clinical pathways deputising for the South West Provider Collaborative Deputy Medical Director where considered appropriate for example at national meetings relating to the service line The post holder will operate as the Senior Clinician within the South West Provider Collaborative for the purposes of advising on Child and Adolescent Mental Health services.The post holder will be expected to translate the South West Provider Collaborative strategy into a clinical service strategy for the service line ensuring national/regional best practise is leveraged and there is alignment across other Provider Collaboratives and national plans.They will be responsible for working with the Head of Service to operationalise and deliver the designed clinical model, clinical pathways and quality governance and assurance framework.The post holder will provide clinical expertise and leadership to the Head of Service who is accountable for:Annual and multi-year service line business plan Day to day operational commissioning response Corporate business returns and monthly reporting The post holder will work within the performance and management framework which governs the delivery of the South West Provider Collaboratives objectives as such the post holder is co-responsible for the sound stewardship of governance within the South West Provider CollaborativeThe post holder will represent the South West Provider Collaborative in a variety of contexts internally and externally including public forums and partnership meetings.
They will be expected to work closely with colleagues from other Trusts and professions to ensure that people can access the service to meet their needs at the times they need it and to ensure the exploration of news ways of working to meet need.The post holder is expected to forge positive working relationships with stakeholders.
Person Specification Communication and Working Relationship Skills Essential Excellent communication skills.
Able to communicate clearly and confidently to range of staff and audiences.
Able to present information logically and concisely both verbally and in writing.
Able to form positive relationships with staff at all levels and with Partner Organisations, people who use our services etc.
Knowledge Essential Detailed working knowledge of the NHS and Local Government policies relating to Mental Health (in particular Provider collaboratives, NHS Long Term Plan) together with good knowledge of principal policy and financial determinants.
Detailed Knowledge of the professional/revalidation requirements for the professional group.
Demonstrable understanding of the Recovery approach.
