Role Summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Band 7 Team Lead Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to work in the Eastern Exeter Neurorehab Team.
The post provides an opportunity to work in an innovative, progressive and dynamic team who provide specialist assessment and rehab to patients with long term neurological conditions.
The successful candidate will work alongside the RDUH Neurorehab Leadership team to support transition from community-based care to an OP model of service delivery.

The current vacancy will be based within the Eastern Exeter Neurorehab service.
This team is undergoing a transition from its current community model of service delivery.
Over the next 6-9 months the team will be adopting an out patient model in order to be able to provide specialist assessment and rehab across the Eastern geography.
The Eastern Exeter Neurorehab team see patients with long-term neurological diagnoses such as MS, stroke and FND as well as a range of other neurological conditions to provide specialist, evidence-based assessment and Neuro rehabilitation.
This post provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to work alongside the service leadership team, consultant AHP and ACP to review speciality pathways and align services across North and East to create an overarching integrated Neuro OP service.
Under the Neurorehab out-patient umbrella in North Devon we provide a range of established services including a spasticity interface service, which provides multi-dimensional spasticity management within a single clinic setting including botulinum toxin injection services, postural care advice and intervention, splinting assessment and exercise review and advice.
We also have a neuro rehab hydrotherapy service, FES service and a range of rehab groups and classes which are largely run by a dedicated exercise specialist practitioner.
This post provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to develop services and lead a team of staff who are innovative and dynamic and who are going through a process of change.
We continuously review models of delivery to provide services that optimise rehab opportunities for our patients.
You will work alongside like-minded senior staff in a collaborative and supportive way to develop our services in line with patient need and trust wide directives.
The Neurorehab service has a proven track record in development of our staff and opportunities for career development.
We have number of senior staff trained to MSc level, and introduced advanced clinical practice and consultant AHP roles within the team.
The Therapy team is at the forefront of innovation and development, in both our services and our people.
