Job summary We are recruiting Band 4 staff for our nightpackages and have a variety of flexible hours available, working acrossWorcestershire.Asa Home Support team Carer, you will deliver care to children or young peoplewithin the home environment.
This involves being trained to competently deliverspecialist care procedures, tracheostomy care, ventilation, enteralfeeding dependant on individual needs.
Full training and support will beprovided.

Main duties of the job The mainduties of the role will include - Work as part of a multi-disciplinaryteam involved in the assessment and care of children with complex nursingneeds.To communicate at an appropriatelevel for individual children, young people and their carersUndertake nursing duties, as agreedwith the Orchard Service who are responsible for the child/ young person.
Thismay include ventilation, tracheostomy, enteral feeding etc.To understand individual plans of care toensure appropriate action is taken in the event of a change in condition orproblem occurring.Assist with the personal care andcomfort of the child and to maintain the childs dignity and privacy at alltimes, including manual handling when necessary.
Assist in maintaining a safeenvironment for the child, family/carers and staff, including safe use ofequipment, reporting any malfunctions urgently.

Qualifications Essential Relevant qualification NNEB, Diploma in Childhood Studies, NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
Ability to complete in depth training re complex nursing care for individual children/ young people.
