About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and trustworthy Home Care Support Worker to join our team at Pick for Britain. This role will involve accompanying a young lady with Autism and learning difficulties to community activities and assisting with personal care tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accessing the community for swimming, parks, and eating out with our service user.
  • Assisting with showering, eating, and laundry tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • A respectful approach to confidentiality and privacy is essential.
  • Reliability, trustworthiness, and punctuality are crucial qualities for this role.
  • Good communication and social skills are necessary to effectively support our service user.
  • Experience in Autism and learning difficulties is essential for this position.
  • This is a female-only support worker role.
Additional Needs:
  • A car owner with a driving license would be beneficial.
Work Hours:

This part-time role involves 15 hours of work over 3 days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday) between 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM, with occasional evenings. We estimate the salary for this role to be around £14-16 per hour, based on a 35-hour working week.
