This is a fulltime post of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Thursday, 8am-4pm, and Friday 8am-3.30pm (plus on call requirements).A current full UK Drivers Licence for category 'B' class of vehicle is essential.An exciting opportunity has become available for motivated and skilled Maintenance Technician's with an electrical engineering background within the Estates Department, Vale of Leven Hospital.
You will be based at Vale of Leven Hospital and will be required to work on all sites and properties within the remit of department as routinely required.
The department role is to provide a safe, effective and efficient estates service to support clinical and administration activities within Healthcare and Acute Hospital Facilities.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing planned and breakdown maintenance and repair services in relation to all aspects of engineering and building services, plant and equipment.
You will be required to have completed a recognized and registered apprenticeship with post apprenticeship experience in Electrical Engineering equivalent to SVQ Level 4 Higher National Diploma, Modern Apprenticeship – Level 4, Professional Development Awards (SCQF – 8-9).
You should have a proven track record that demonstrates your practical core skills and application within your trade.
In addition to your core trade it is expected that you will undertake work of other disciplines for which training will be provided as necessary.You will be in possession of:HNC, B/Tech or City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced Craft qualification or equal and approved.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.
This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
