Job summary Facilities Assistant £ per hour Monday to Friday 6:00 - 10:30 Some weekend work will be required.
Total 20 hours per week including a 30 min be flexible on start times.
To work as an integral part of the ward/departmental teams with a flexible approach within the Facilities Department.
Undertaking a comprehensive floor cleaning programme using floor machinery, together with cleaning duties as required in all areas of the Healthcare premises to ensure our standards meet the National Specifications for Cleanliness in the NHS.
Previous use of floor machinery and cleaning experience would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided.

Main duties of the job We are looking for a motivated and hard-working individual to work as part of the Facilities team, undertaking floor cleaning using floor machinery and other cleaning duties as required in all areas of the premises, to ensure standards meet the National Specifications for Cleanliness in the NHS.
Use of floor cleaning machineryClean all surfaces using appropriate methods to remove dust and debrisRemove / replace / clean curtains and blinds as necessaryClean all hard floors and mop dailyEmpty, clean and replenish waste binsSeal waste bags and carry out appropriate waste disposal proceduresClean internal glass and ledgesClean all sanitary areasMaintain equipment in a clean and serviceable conditionMaintain and respect the privacy and dignity of patients whilst carrying out Facilities dutiesClean BedsClean furnitureReplenish consumables - paper towels, soap, toilet rolls etcAdopt a flexible approachEnsure the correct storage of all itemsTo ensure strict adherence to all policies and procedures in relation to food hygiene, including HACCP, personal hygiene and cleaning down proceduresCollect, wash and return water jugsTo prepare and serve food and beverages as requiredAssist with the service of patient, visitors and staff mealsEnsure that food presentation, portion control, temperature and quality standards are adhered to To ensure security is maintained at all timesCompletion of departmental paperwork as requiredSupporting Goods in Department About us Why work for us?
