The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial processes, data analysis, and Workday reporting tools.
This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced reports to support strategic decision-making and financial operations, while also governing and enhancing the overall reporting suite.Principal Accountabilities: Reporting and Analysis:Advanced Reporting: Design, develop, and maintain complex Workday reports, including matrix reports, calculated fields, and custom reports, tailored to the needs of both finance and non-finance stakeholders.Data Visualization: Utilize data visualization techniques to present complex financial information in a clear, concise, and impactful manner.Reporting Governance: Govern the reporting suite, ensuring reliability, consistency, and efficiency, while mitigating redundancy and optimizing insights.Business Partnership: Collaborate closely with business partners to understand their reporting needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver value-added insights.Data Management: Manage a database of financial and non-financial information, structuring it to facilitate decision-making and enhance the understanding of the P&L.Data Analysis: Analyze financial data from Workday to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.User Support and Process Improvement:User Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on the use of Workday reports and dashboards.Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot report issues and provide timely solutions.Technical Collaboration: Collaborate with IT and other teams to resolve technical problems and ensure the smooth operation of Workday reporting.Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting processes, implementing automation and streamlining techniques.Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest Workday features and best practices to optimize reporting capabilities.Job requirementsKnowledge, Skills and Experience:Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and advanced proficiency in Workday reporting tools (Report Writer, Prism Analytics).Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify insights and drive decision-making.Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, business partners, and technical teams.Continuous Improvement: A passion for continuous improvement and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing enhancements.Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy to ensure the reliability of financial reports.Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues and find innovative solutions.What can McLaren offer?We constantly strive to be better tomorrow than we are today.
