Job summary We are looking for a candidate to work an week.
The role will be based at Watford but there will be a need to be flexible and to provide cover at Hemel Hempstead during periods of annual leave / sickness.The post holder will provide a comprehensive and efficient administrative support service to Pathway Navigators/Medical Secretaries and Medical Consultants within the Paediatric Service towards the delivery of an efficient overall administrative service.
This job will involve cross-site working at both Watford General Hospital and Hemel Hempstead General Hospital.Hours are hours per week to be worked across Monday - Friday afternoons from 1pm.
Main duties of the job o To work within the division to provide administrative support by answering phone calls and dealing with patients' enquiries via email or To collect and deliver post, ensuring it is handed to the correct Pathway Navigator / Medical Secretary and assist with scanning of letters on to Cerner database.
Further, to ensure all letters to patients are despatched in a timely Assist with scanning / photocopying as and when Assist with covering reception as and when To liaise with the Outpatient Departments / Admissions Waiting List Coordinator with regards to booking outpatient/TCI To ensure clinic letters/correspondence are filed in patients' notes and sent to patient when requested.

Job description Job responsibilities To provide a comprehensive and efficient administrative support service to a variety of Consultants, as well as to support Pathway Navigators/Medical Secretaries within the Division towards the delivery of an efficient administrative service.
This job may involve cross-site working.
We are looking for a candidate to work hours per week, based at Watford.

Key relationships would be with Consultants and their teams, Patients, Pathway Navigators/Medical Secretaries, GPs and other NHS professionals, Nursing Staff, Service Managers, Outpatients Team, Validation Team, and all other Trust staff, as appropriate.

To liaise with the Outpatient Departments/ Admissions Waiting List Coordinator with regards to booking outpatient/TCI appointments.

Person Specification Education and qualifcations Essential NVQ level 3 or AS-A levels, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge Essential Understanding of information governance issues; guidelines affecting Health Records and confidential information Desirable Knowledge of patient administration systems, eg, Patient Centre and I-Reporter, as well as office systems, eg, Outlook, Word, Excel.
Experience Essential Experience of confidentiality and handling of patient information Desirable Experience of computer administration systems
