This role is ideal for someone eager to make a positive impact on the early educational experiences of young children.
The Role: As an EYFS Teaching Assistant , you will be a vital part of the early years team, supporting the learning and development of children aged 3 to 5 years.
Your role will involve assisting the class teacher in creating a stimulating and supportive environment that encourages children's curiosity and love for learning.
Responsibilities of an EYFS Teaching Assistant: Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities.
Assist in the creation of a safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
Provide one-on-one and small group support to children, helping them with their individual needs.
Observe and assess children's development, documenting their progress and providing feedback.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents and carers, ensuring effective communication.
Encourage social interactions and support children's emotional well-being.
Help with the preparation and organisation of learning materials and resources.
Promote good behaviour and positive attitudes, using strategies that encourage self-regulation and independence.
Assist with personal care routines, including feeding, dressing etc where necessary.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance your professional development.
The successful candidate will: Previous experience working within an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting is highly desirable.
A relevant qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, CACHE Level 3) would be advantageous.
Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) related strategies .
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
A commitment to continuous professional development and safeguarding the well-being of children and young people.
A collaborative and proactive attitude, with a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
Have an updated CV ( covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps ) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
