Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated experienced Occupational Therapist to work as a key member of therapy services to support winter across our wards at Kings Mill and Mansfield Community Hospital.This is an exciting opportunity to join us and really make a difference, our therapy workforce are committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for patients requiring inpatient care across mid Nottinghamshire.Working alongside specialist clinicians, as part of dedicated MDT's across a diversity of medical patient profile with hyper acute, acute and rehabilitation needs.

Person Specification Knowledge Essential Sound Clinical knowledge of core conditions and applied therapy techniques Ability to prioritise & work under pressure Delegation skills Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) As an autonomous practitioner, is able to work as a team member as well as alone but with access to more senior colleague IT skills - basic Knowledge of NHS procedures, policies and guidelines Ability to formulate and develop specialised individual treatment programmes and ability in using clinical reasoning skills based on current best practice Qualifications Essential BSc (Hons) or Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy or equivalent Registration with HCPC Membership of relevant Professional Body Evidence of experience in the form of an up to date professional development portfolio Further Essential Attendance at relevant clinical post graduate courses taught often at modular Masters level and relevant to all core specialities Practice Placement Educators training / clinical supervisors training Desirable Leadership Training Experience Essential NHS experience Significant post graduate experience with recent experience working within the speciality of stroke Experience of working with a variety of therapeutic approaches Experience of audit and service review Experience of supervising other staff and students Evidence of contribution to clinical education of less experienced staff, assistants and students Contractual Essential Ability to travel between Kings Mill Hospital and Newark Hospital Ability to work over 7 days Desirable Ability to drive Car owner
