Main duties of the job Key Responsibilities:Supervise a team of support service assistants to ensure high-quality standards are met.Coordinate and manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling, task allocation, and performance monitoring.Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and efficient resource utilisation.Promote a positive and supportive work environment, fostering teamwork and professional development.

Job description Job responsibilities Delivering the Service - on a daily basis Supervisors will be required to identify and respond to user needs and to solve problems/complaints as and when they arise.
This will require effective liaison with other staff groups, particularly nursing and actively seek constructive feedback on service provision.
The Supervisors role covers a range of services within facilities.
To train, monitor and supervise facilities staff in all the elements of their role.
Supervisors are required to work with staff teams and to carry out domestic and housekeeping duties to cover the needs of the service.
A Supervisor will be required to have the knowledge and technical ability to be able to undertake and teach staff the skills necessary to complete service delivery.
Support the Trusts Health and Safety Policy ensuring staff are trained to ensure the safety of staff visitors and patients within their area of work.
Monitor areas of responsibility to ensure service standards are consistently delivered in line with National Cleaning Standards.
Taking remedial action as necessary.
Monitoring of catering services at ward level to ensure compliance with the Trusts food safety documentation and current food safety legislation as highlighted in the Trusts food services policy and the ward catering procedures.
Actively support the reduction in food wastage.
To support the Team Leaders in ensuring equipment used to deliver the service is of the standard required and is maintained to physical and technical standards.
To inform Team Leaders of the ordering requirements to maintain sufficient stock levels to deliver the service.
Undertake initial investigation and reporting of untoward incidents and accidents using Datix.
Completion and returning of Absence Monitoring forms.
Will be required to take responsibility for ensuring that return to work interviews are completed in a timely manner and that the Team Leaders are informed when an employee reaches the next stage of the Trust Management of Sickness and Absence Policy.
Checking and countersigning clock cards on a weekly basis in preparation for data entry to the payroll data base.
Management of annual leave requests in a timely manner.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential Good standard of education in England and Maths.
Desirable Level 3 Food Safety Certificate IOSH Supervising Safely Safety ILM 2 Supervisory Studies Experience Essential Previous Supervisory experience.
Desirable Experience of working within a health care setting.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Essential If relevant, please provide details of AI used during the completion of this application form.
Skills and Abilities Essential Able to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
Willingness to participate in continuous personal development as required for the role.
Knowledge and Awareness Essential Knowledge of administrative duties, including basic MS Office suite or similar Desirable Awareness of the Health and Safety and Moving and Handling requirements in the workplace
