Bookmark Education Manchester are working in partnership with Primary Schools in the Oldham area of Manchester, who are looking to engage with a Teaching Assistant with a Sports background to work with KS2 pupils on an ongoing basis.
The schools are hoping to work with a candidate who is passionate about working with children and who also exhibits a Sports background (this could be through coaching, a sports degree or voluntary sports provisions).  The ideal candidate would be willing and able to use their passion for sports to help to support pupils pupils who are disengaged from their learning or who might be exhibiting behaviours that challenge, working with these pupils to make school a positive experience for them In this role you would: Be working in the classroom assigned to a specific class in Key Stage 2 (7-11) Undertake the role of classroom teaching assistant with a focus on identified pupils or those who have become distracted from their learning Be a good role model to pupils, exhibiting the behaviours that you would expect to see from them Be supporting children to bridge attainment gaps in the core subjects (Maths, Reading, Writing) Use your Sports in a dual capacity; with opportunity to provide extra curricular sports provisions and using Sport as a creative outlet for children with Social Emotional Mental Health needs To be considered for this role, you must have experience of working with children in a paid or voluntary capacity and have a clear passion for helping children reach their true potential and overcome barriers to learning.   This is a full time role, Mon to Fri 08:30 to 15:30 during term time only, running on an ongoing basis, with the potential for permanent or fixed term contract is you excel in the role.
