Job summary The West Kent Therapy Service is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and talented Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our established Community Rehabilitation and MDTTherapy post is part of the dynamic service based in Tonbridge made up of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Apprentices, and Therapy Assistants.
We providecomprehensive assessments, rehabilitation and moving and handling solutions for patients in their own homes in rural and urban areas across the locality.
Ensuring they achievetheir full potential following a hospital admission or period of illness, and to keep those living in their own homes safe with the greatest level of functional independence service responds to the rehabilitation needs of adults of all ages and backgrounds with a wide range of problems including, elderly care, complex co-morbidities, neurological,and role will also the support the frailty clinics in Edenbridge, which are a multi-disciplinary project targeting the population more proactively to promote ageing well.
Bringingthe therapy voice to how we can support this cohort, with advice, education and treatment solutions.
Main duties of the job o Domiciliary and clinic based interventiono Completing comprehensive and holistic new patient assessmentso Designing individual rehabilitation plans and goal Delivering and adapting Occupational Therapy Collaboration with MDTo Equipment provision and orderingo Supervising Therapy Assistants and Apprenticeso Clinical education of students on placement Our supportive and inclusive environment can provide great opportunities for Continuing Professional Development through our internal training and external courses, helping you to specialise and develop your professional skills both clinical and people you are a highly motivated individual and willing to work autonomously as well as part of a team then we would like to hear from you.You must be an HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
Car access and a drivers license are also essential as you will need to be able to travel independently around the patch.
